It's Lunchtime at Uganda Youth Aid School
Often, the Uganda Youth Aid Nursery and Primary School cannot afford to provide lunch for its more than 1,000 students. Posho (maize flour) and beans—simple staples—are sometimes a luxury. Many children already face pressure to stay home and help their families, and the long journey to school makes attendance even harder. For these students, a meal isn’t just food—it is a powerful incentive to stay in class and continue their education.
Timeline
For over five years, Speakers for Africa has supported this school, starting with small donations that grew into broader aid, covering tuition, supplies, food, and a boys' and girls' soccer club.

How we help
For over five years, Speakers for Africa has supported this school, starting with small donations that grew into broader aid, covering tuition, supplies, food, and a boys' and girls' soccer club.
Now, the school urgently needs a permanent, two-story structure to replace its dilapidated building. For a fraction of U.S. construction costs, we can help them build a safe, lasting space for learning.
Please join us in raising the funds needed to build them a proper school.
