OUR
MISSION
To provide a holistic transformation of young people and disadvantaged communities in Uganda by offering access to
education and training, as well as exposure to modern innovations.

OUR VISION
We believe every child deserves access to quality education. Speakers for Africa is committed to equipping students in Uganda with the tools to thrive in their communities and the workforce. Education is the cornerstone of individual success and fostering the pursuit of knowledge is critical for a brighter future.

OUR STRATEGY
We provide near real-time updates on project progress and donation use, creating more reliable transparency, accountability, and stronger engagement. Decades of experience in Uganda have helped us navigate its legal system and build key connections, allowing us to deliver aid directly and efficiently, avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy and minimizing overhead that can lead to lost funds in other organizations.

OUR STORY
A mother and son’s love for Uganda led to the founding of a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting students and families with improved educational tools and resources. Since 1997, we have developed a deep understanding of the country’s educational landscape and discovered practical ways to uplift communities. After 25 years of living in Uganda and remaining closely connected, we’ve also learned how to navigate its complex political and social systems. Our mission is to enhance educational materials and opportunities that ignite curiosity and foster growth. Through the sharing of knowledge and resources, we aim to empower young minds and help build a brighter future. Join us in advancing education and investing in Uganda’s next generation.

Pit Latrine Project
In February 2025, five dedicated members of the Evergreen, Colorado, community will travel to Uganda to construct a much-needed pit latrine for Rwakobo Primary School in Western Uganda. This water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) project is part of our ongoing mission to improve sanitation and create healthier learning environments for children in underserved areas. The new latrine will not only provide safe and hygienic facilities for the students and staff but also promote better hygiene practices to reduce the risk of disease. Our team is proud to take this hands-on approach to support the Rwakobo Primary School and strengthen our global community through service and collaboration.
Connection and reliable transparency
Modern technology allows us to provide real-time communication and live updates— improving transparency and bringing supporters closer to the impact they’re creating. Such an unprecedented connection strengthens trust, promotes durable engagement and fosters better understanding of Uganda’s culture and the values that drive Speakers for Africa’s mission.

Classroom Repair
We need your help to complete our $15,000 goal to rebuild classrooms at the Uganda Youth Aid Nursery and Primary School in Kampala. Many of the children, including orphans, are studying in a building that’s dangerously close to collapsing.
With your support, we can provide these students with a safe and secure place to learn. Every donation brings us closer to our goal—please join us in making a lasting impact!
